China Celebrates 75 years of founding with South Africa

The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in South Africa was in Pretoria to host a National Day reception to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of China on the 26th of September. The event highlighted robust diplomatic ties between China and South Africa.

 

It was a reception graced by more than 200 guests, including Government officials, business leaders, and other members of the Diplomatic Corps, held at the Embassy in Pretoria. Warmth and camaraderie filled the air-sure reflection of the ties between China and South Africa.

 

His Excellence Ambassador Wu Peng delivered a keynote address emphasizing the remarkable of China’s National Day and the country’s commitment to international cooperation and highlighted the need to further align China and South Africa’s aspiration. “We have always build a solidarity and cooperation with African countries as an important corner stop of our policy,we are committed to being a reliable friend and sincere partner of African Countries.”

According to Obed Labela the Deputy Minister of the public enterprise of South Africa, the reception demonstrated the depth of China –South Africa relations. “China is now opening up its market without us paying custom duties and other taxes of our good to go in big numbers to China, they have a population of 1.6 Million and it is a huge market and we have so much goods that we produce, we can then began to see what value into that market now that the tariff issues has been resolved.”https://on.soundcloud.com/SkJwtZxZdhDbuunz9

Brigadier Charmaine Miller , representing the South African Police Services , praised the collaboration between Chinese and South African law enforcement agencies. “Our joint efforts have enhanced public safety and security in both countries.”https://on.soundcloud.com/7ugWt79LoDwxnKSQ9

The Embassy’s event provided a platform for meaningful discussion and networking among the attendees . As the reception concluded , attendees departed with a renewed sense of optimism and cooperation between two nations.
